Description

Join us for a presentation on two recent night photo shoots at NSRM by Steve Barry.

One aspect of railroad photography is to draw upon inspiration of the past. Photographers will travel the country in search of opportunities where the past comes to life, be it an all-day photo charter on a steam railroad or a night photo session involving period props and actors. In this presentation, we’ll look at two recent night photo events at the Nevada State Railroad Museum; each event used different equipment and the pros and cons of each will be discussed. We’ll also head out for a two-day photo event on the Virginia & Truckee and see what photographers will do to get *the* shot.

Steve Barry has been photographing railroads across the United States and Canada for 45 years, visiting 49 states and several provinces. He is editor of Railfan & Railroad Magazine, a monthly devoted to the rail hobbyist. He lives in southern New Jersey and can’t wait for the pandemic to end so travel can return to some form of normalcy.

This online event via Zoom is free. The presentation is limited to the first 100 registrants. To register click here: https://zoom.us/…/tJwscemspj4jHdbEtZZSdxy-nhTK03rT6veX
